President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Iranian embassy in Tashkent and expressed condolences to the Iranian people over the death of President Ebrahim Raisi. The head of state left a note in the Book of Condolences.
Uzbekistan’s Foreign ministry expressed concern over the accident with helicopter carrying president of Iran Ebrahim Raisi. “The Uzbek side expresses its full readiness to provide assistance to our Iranian friends if necessary,” the statement reads.
During his official visit to Iran, President Mirziyoyev held talks with President Raisi and Iran’s Supreme Spiritual Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei. They discussed cooperation prospects and regional issues. A joint declaration on strengthening cooperation and several agreements were signed.
